Our client, a global shipping enterprise headquartered in Hamburg, is among the top players in the maritime sector.
Do you excel with numbers and have a strategic mindset? This could be your opportunity: We are seeking a Finance Manager for our client, an international shipping firm located in Hamburg.
In this position, you will assume significant responsibility, including managing direct reports. You will oversee financial activities across various divisions, ensure complete clarity in financial data, and collaborate closely with the Director of Finance. Leading your team, you will manage budgets, forecasts, and reports while constantly enhancing processes and introducing impactful ideas.
Key Responsibilities:
Compile monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements following HGB standards and local regulations.
Conduct financial reporting and analysis for management teams, stakeholders, and clients.
Manage budgeting processes as well as forecasting alongside cash flow planning.
Handle contract administration along with internal quality control measures.
Refine structures and workflows while coordinating with external partners.
Qualifications:
Degree or professional training in Finance or related fields such as Accounting or Auditing.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior role (Audit/Accounting/Consulting), preferably within maritime industries.
Previous leadership experience required.
Proficient user of advanced finance systems for reporting purposes.
Strong analytical capabilities; attention to detail is crucial yet able to see broader perspectives.
Communicative nature; innovative thinker who drives initiatives forward effectively.
Fluent German speaker coupled with strong proficiency in English.
